A friend of Rasputin’s received an email from the Convention of States a few days ago, claiming “new documents” were uncovered in which deceased Justice Antonin Scalia supported an Article V Convention of States. How convenient. Since the Justice is not with us anymore, he can’t refute it. But of course there’s more to this story.

It’s hard enough to watch Meckler and Farris and their minions denigrate those who are against their Convention of States/Article V movement and then delete their posts and/or ban them from their Facebook page.
But now they are eating their own.

Over the last few days our illustrious website has had several hack attempts.
Rasputin and his writers are honored.
Maybe it’s because of an endorsement of Article V and the Convention of States by a Texas governor who needs some more education.
And his Texas Public Policy Foundation he so richly relies on is funded by Mssrs. Meckler and Farris. The John Hancock Committee for the States. DBA Citizens for Self Governance. A Project of the Convention of States Project.
Go ahead and plug it into google.
No lines need to be drawn.
Just to remind our loyal readers, this site was started in an attempt to counter personal attacks made by Mark Meckler and his cabal against those who oppose his Convention of States Project.
We have succeeded in stopping the Alinsky-style tactics, at least for now, so are declaring success. Job well done to all our writers and readers.
But we still have our dutiful watch dogs all around and everywhere and rest assured if things start to get nasty again we’ll come out of our cave.
Anyone wishing to report to us any unpleasantness, please do so to @MarkMecklerInfo on twitter.
Well well well. The Convention of States Project had a busy week.
Not only have they made it clear they think they are “in charge” through denigration of critics and legislators, ad hominem attacks on detractors, and allowing people on their FB page to get away with threatening those who disagree; now they think they have made it clear they are totally in charge of any “convention” and are writing the rules for said convention, and expecting all state legislators in the country to go along with them. Those who don’t believe in their project and “rules” be damned.

Those who have read the section “why we are here” will remember the reason this site was begun was because of Meckler’s and his cohorts and volunteers vicious attacks on those who don’t agree with their “project.” The most vicious attack to date was against constitutional scholar Publius Huldah.
Meckler’s group loathes her because she dares to speak about the opposite side and how a Convention of States, Article V, could pan out and could pose a danger.
Please remember we stated this site is neither pro or con Article V.
But an even more vicious attack has come against Publius Huldah in the last few days, this time from a person by the name of Norman Bobo.

“Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.” –Saul Alinsky
A few weeks ago there was an attempt to destroy the reputation of an elderly constitutional scholar who travels making speeches of the dangers of an Article V convention. Her name is Publius Huldah.
Publius is a respected writer on Freedom Outpost and this author learned of this hit-job-in-writing from an article there, Convention of States Uses Alinsky Tactics in Attempt to Destroy Publius Huldah.

Meckler or someone on his staff, we are sure, monitors and posts on his Convention of States Facebook page. The way we know for sure is there are many “responses” to FB posters. However, where he is lax is he never boots off or criticizes bulliers. For example, see this prolific bullier below:

Meckler keeps telling us his Convention of States “project” is about proposing amendments to our Constitution. One argument against Article V is amendments could be ratified which could have a detriment against conservatism. After all, radical Lefties like Lawrence Lessing would just love to eliminate 1A, 2A, and Citizens United using an Article V convention.
